Abstract:

The paper suggests that the geoscience and the geological prospecting circles in China should carriedout research and development on four major geoscience project: Participating the Integrated Ocean DrillingProgram (IODP) which is initiated by Japan; Developing deep sea mineral resources (mainly nodules) withinand carrying out research on the related technology and equipment; Accelerating the exploration of deepgeoscience earth conducting super-deep continental scientific drilling on the Qinghai-Tibet plateau.
